The cool wind rushes through my hair.
I close my eyes against the intense beating of the sun
upon my face.
Birds sing briskly in the trees,
resting along their journey toward the dirty south.
Memories echo loudly and sweetly in my mind.
The very thoughts of him overtake my being.
My heart skips...then settles....skips...then settles.
I hear the whipser of his voice
and it lingers for a while.....
and then,
I'll smile.
I turn the key in my ignition
and my car begins to hummmmm.
The music on my radio is loud
so I turn it down......
some.
I carefully check my rear view
and watch the birds now flying overhead.
I clear my throat and my mind joins in.
A memory of his kiss makes my head spin.
His love is so strong
I feel him right next to me.
Touching me
holding me
kissing me
looooovvvviiinnnng me.
The memory lingers for a while.
And then....
I'll smile.
My head rests upon the steering wheel.
I'm tired.
Wish I had more time to sleep.
I check the time.....
Looking at the horizon
I see the sun struggling to
rise.
Get on up sun.
If I have to go to work
you do too.
There's a tapping on my window.I look up.
It's him.Standing there looking all delicious
and stuff.
His eyes twinkle and he whispers,
Honey, come back in for a while
I'll check the time,
I'll get out of the car,
I settle easily into his big
strong arms.
My heart skips... then settles
skips......then settles.
And I go in for a while
and then....
He'll smile.

The Lord's saying of the widow with the two mites, and His treatment of the moneychangers in the temple. The ministry may have gone back to the Levitical priesthood with their tithes and offerings, and keeping of the Sabbath, that's in spite of Jesus beginning a new covenant.
However, I hope the ministries do well, spiritually, but financial strength is where the Christian world flirts with danger. Witness 9/11, the AIG bailout, the banks and the S&L failures, it's a wake up call. I wish you and your family the best.
Friend in Christ,
Alex
I hope you and Marlas are doing well.
Hugs,
Susan
