Super Woman by Tracy Spence-Banks is a cute, to the point Christian women's self-help book that uses biblical scriptures pertaining to everyday living for all women. She shares her personal opinions on how the bible is and can be misinterpreted to the point that woman loose understanding on how to carry themselves and what role they can play to be the pillars of their own families and communities. Tracy Spence Banks takes a realistic and funny approach to sharing her insight and beliefs. In my opinion, I feel that most women that read this book will sit back and laugh, while saying to themselves, "I didn't look at that, that way."
The thoughts and stories told are simple and easy to understand, with such profound messages behind them. Tracy Spence-Banks shares her thoughts around the bible and womanhood. Through the categories of grace, humility, patience, dignity, endurance and love, she allows you to reflect on your own feelings, while she shares her own. At the end of the book she provides you a workbook section to write you own thoughts down around each subject.
I love how Tracy Spence-Banks takes how we as women honestly think, while using humor to open our eyes. This thought provoking book I believe, will push you to think outside the box of our own understanding on life, relationships and family. You may possibly see things a different way, which could lead to you enhancing your own inner powers as a strong women. The title; Super Woman makes me smile and I want to stand up and claim my own power. Much of what is shared in this book; I agree with and try to live by.
I would recommend this to women of faith, to women from all walks of life and vision. In my opinion it is a book of "real talk," plain and simple. Tracy Spence-Banks, you are a "Super Woman" and so am I!
