Word of Mouth is a Powerful Tool in Making things Happen

We can spend an arm and a leg to get to see are favorite artist in concert and all...go buy a mainstream artist CD or DVD but the Independent/Green Artist don't get that kind of love from us.

What draws us to the mainstream vs the newbies?

We go around and around on MySpace, FaceBook, Black Planet, BTR and more...but don't you see that that circle is so very small and for those of you that are artist with a product to sell....more needs to be done...don't you think...

I believe that word of mouth is a powerful tool...if we love and respect what some else is doing...why is so hard for us to repost and help spread the word?

You see that I have a variety of people that I post for...some I create online flyers for and others I just repost what they are sharing...this I feel is not a hard thing....We may have different people in our circles and have the opportunity to peak the interest of someone new.

I try to do my part of showing my love and support for you...the Artists...but I can't do it all by myself...how about joining me...we really can make a difference.

Thank you for this. I always wonder: How can I make people interested in what I do, so that they help me spread the word or buy my stuff? A lot of people find the excuse that we are in a recession, but I haven't see the sales of cars or plasma TVs go down. Promotion and marketing is a lot of work. But I can feel that greatness is coming my way! Last night, there were 20 people in the chat room for my feature show and many people called in to show support. They may not buy my stuff in the end, but the love that surrounded me was amazing! Last night was a dream come true!

Seems like your mind is always working on how to help us....I have given up for the time being on producing anything. The marketing aspect is so hard and drains me so I will continue to write and hopefully find a way to get my work out there. But I cannot begin to thank you for all you do. As an unknown artist, it is always a challenge to get people to spend money on your project. People will buy from a well-known artist before they'll buy from someone independent. Radio stations only want to interview you if you're already successful, instead of helping you to get your art out there. But then people like you who truly have a love for artists (not just millionaires) set up a stage for us to come out and tell the world who we are and what we do. Thank you so much for all you do for us.
